Last week Travel got a tour of the Melbourne Visitor Centre to have a look at how the Centre was run, the types of people who use the services and the different resources available to anyone traveller around Victoria. After their visit, we completed a site inspection at the Oaks on Market Street where Elleney, Michelle and Andrew from the Sales and Marketing Department showed them around the hotel. After the room inspections, the were brought to the Board Room to go through their Customer Service policy and explained how exceptional customer service and guest loyalty is a must in the travel and accommodation industry!
Today the students completed Part A of their Customer Service and Communication assessment with a visit to Melbourne Airport. They were asked to watch airline staff, the check in processes, the arrival and departure of domestic passengers and they also had to talk and interact with passengers coming in to Melbourne. As well as observing what happens at Melbourne Airport, it was a good way for the students to increase their product knowledge about the Airport so that in the future, they can answer questions that their clients may have.
