On the job learning in Tourism & Travel Industry Placements

The Industry Placement Program for Tourism & Travel students provides Diploma & Advanced Diploma students with the opportunity to undertake 128 hours of work experience in a tourism or travel business as part of their course.
Tourism & Travel students complete either a one day per week for 16 weeks or two days per week for 8 weeks in tourism and travel businesses workplaces. This year 34 students completed their industry placements in travel & tourism businesses that included AOT, Abercrombie & Kent, Intrepid, JTB, Peterpans Adventure Travel, Bayside City Council, VTIC, TAA, SEALIFE Melbourne, Bunyip Tours, Global Ballooning, Rail Plus Australia, Cox and King – Tempo Holidays, St Kilda Tourism plus independent travel agencies.

As part of the industry placement the Tourism & Travel students participate in an Industry luncheon to briefly present their workplace experiences and to personally thank their industry mentors.
Peterpan Adventure Travel have provided enormous opportunities for our Travel & Tourism students with internships working with Senior Travel consultants Annissa Matallah, Cass Richards Natalie Mantell and Ryan Twose
